internet access from client pc's
After finishing that, I log off Administrator and log on as the user (already set up on SBS). Its name is "MSD5." It lets me log onto the network but the SBS client setup tells me I'm not an administrator on this PC. Ok, fine. I log on as administrator on this new computer (domain MSD5 which I guess is default)

SBS 4.5 and Windows 98Me Client setup problem
Do not use SBS client setup disks. On the clients, set up with TCP/IP. Turn on the WINS both domains and DNS server on the client TCP/IP setup. Find the hosts (or lmhost) files and be sure to add the static IP address for all the servers. Only log onto the WIN 2K domain (where all your printers are served).

SBS 4.5 Workstation Installation Fails (Newbie)
We are installing the SBS 4.5 evaluation. The installation of the server went ok, until now. When creating a new user at the server and running the client setup diskette on a workstation, a NEW USER PROFILE has been created. All the settings of the desktop, favorites, internet options, etc... have been cleared !

How do I stop the SBS Client software installation running on logon. For some reason a number of our workstations have started runnning the software setup routine on logon! I worked around this by using Ctrl-Alt-Del to bring up the Tasklist, then killing all services off immediately after logon, but before pressing a key to let the SBS setup begin. If it's the phase that starts automatically, then you may need to disable the computer from logon to the LAN with the startup client

Linking SBS to XP & 2000 OS
Here goes again: Original installation on new server- SBS 4.0a installed. Define a new user. Prompts to run Setup Computer Wizard.
